Internships
WYNternship Program
At Wyndham Vacation Ownership (WVO) we offer summer internship opportunities at targeted work locations throughout our organization. Piloted in summer 2006 at our Las Vegas Grand Desert Resort, in summer 2007 WYNternship was officially launched at five additional WVO resorts and worksites that are aligned with our six target universities.
More than just a summer job, WYNternship offers college students learning and work experience, along with the opportunity to work with some of the most experienced and talented individuals in vacation ownership industry.
Our locations host interns from a variety of backgrounds with diverse representation in degrees, majors and cultural experiences. Candidates interested in the WYNternship experience are active college students pursuing Bachelor's and Master's degrees from accredited colleges, universities, and trade schools.
WYNternship Format
WYNternship is a 12-week paid, full-time (>30 hours per week) or part-time (<30 hours per week) internship, although, there is no guarantee of continued employment at the conclusion of the internship assignment of upon graduation. Students participate in either a department-specific or rotational schedule assignment, as pre-determined by the hiring manager. In addition to being assigned hands-on work responsibilities, students will share and exchange their experiences with other interning students as well as site leaders.
Upon starting their internship, students are assigned a host/mentor for the duration of their internship period. Additionally, the Human Resources assists the company's numerous divisions by providing formalized intern programming throughout the internship to assimilate the interns to common WVO practices and skills needed to satisfy their internship requirements.
Additional resources and activities for interns include (when applicable):
- Coaching and feedback sessions
- Roundtable discussions and social activities
- Internship experience report and presentation opportunities
Intern Eligibility
To be considered for an internship with WVO, candidates should be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school degree program and meet specified department requirements as determined by each hiring manager.
